Highlights from Parish Meeting

28 November, 2018
by Admin

These are the highlights of things debated and agreed at the November meeting of the Parish Council on Monday 26th November:
Agreement to pilot a youth project to reward 13-19 yr olds who help on Council-run events like Skip Days, helping with the community garden and the summer fayre. In return, rewards of activity days out in the Easter and Summer holidays. We’ll be working with Stephen Drew who does the drop-ins at The Hub on Monday evenings, 6.30. More info to follow.

You’ll soon notice posters and stickers around the place to try and drive home the message about dog mess. Keep your eyes peeled…

Finally, we want to explore bringing the old bowling green into being a part of the Juliet Oakley Play Area around the pavilion at the Welfare Field. The idea being to provide an enclosed area where dogs are not allowed. We’re thinking about joining the two areas, and adding maybe some picnic seats too. Would you support this scheme? Please let us know your views via email or phone or speak to a Councillor.
